Quixotic

She walked in and my jaw was dropped

And I couldnít breathe and my brain had stopped

Knowing I could be everything she wants from me

She made a B line straight to the door

Little did I know that she would leave me wanting more

And Iím stuck in a trance and cannot speak

Would she ever even know?

Would she ever even know I love her so?

I get her name and I give her a call

And itís unexpected and drives her up the wall

ďWhat the hell could I ever want from you?Ē

She calls me a quixotic fool

And I look it up and I tell her that itís true

But I know that youíll fall in love too

Would she ever even know?

Would she ever even know I love her so?

I looked up and itís five to twelve

And I had to make a move knowing time would tell

That Iíve been struck but not struck out yet

I knew that if I could see her face

She would be compelled to let me plead my case

And if not then Iíll start this again

Would she ever even know?

Would she ever even know I love her so?
