Nomadic acts of mislaid plans
Led me into desolation
Further from a loving hand
And further from a destination
Hope seemed lost and gone for ages
With unknowns I’d been searching for
Then emerged my own oasis
A cactus flower I adored
Long days were never longer
Cold nights were never colder
Before the moment you came into my life
And I said “I will be yours, if you would only be mine”
Untouchable upon first sight
I apprehensively drew near
Soon my fears would all subside
And I knew why I should star here
Long days were never longer
Cold nights were never colder
Before the moment you came into my life
And I said “I will be yours, if you would only be mine”
Fatefully the unexpected
Arrived and turned in perfect time
With beauty that has never rested
The flower would always be mine
